Thomas is a regular visitor to Didcot Railway Centre where he is welcomed by his friends the Great Western engines.
The Fat Controller supervises Rev.W.Awdry's classic children's favourite - Thomas the Tank Engine on his “Day Out with Thomas™” visits, and also during the “Thomas Santa Specials”
There are rides behind 'Thomas' and lots of other entertainment for children including magic shows, circus workshops, story reading, clowns, Happy Monkey barrel organ and games.
A wide range of souvenirs is available in the 'Thomas' shop.
There is a Refreshment Room serving lunches, snacks and drinks also a picnic area where you can sit and watch the trains go by.
Days Out with Thomas in 2008 are on:
Friday 11 - Sunday 13 April
Friday 3 - Sunday 5 October
Admission prices, which include rides on the trains and other activities, are £9.50 for adults, £7.50 for children aged 2-15 (under 2s are FREE), £8.00 for over-60s.
There are special prices for playgroup and school parties on Fridays.
There is no need to book in advance as tickets will be on sale on the day, but you can save money (£1 per person) and avoid queuing by booking with www.ticketweb.co.uk.

Give the children a real treat this Christmas at Didcot Railway Centre. Travel on the steam train with “Thomas the Tank Engine” to see and receive a present from Santa in his grotto.

The price for children includes a present from Santa; there is no charge for babes-in-arms not visiting Santa and older children (under 16) not visiting Santa are charged the over-60s price.
